green fingerless mitts/gloves

Here’s another free crochet fingerless mitts pattern for you to enjoy!

Fingerless mitts or gloves are a must have in the winter. I love them because they keep my hands warm while allowing me to use my phone.

This pattern is worked in the round so no seaming is needed. You can make it longer or shorter by simply increasing or reducing the number of rounds.

It does not require a lot of yarn and is perfect for that special skein somewhere in your stash. This is one of my first fingerless gloves that I designed.

The stitch pattern is the usual single crochet and double crochet into one stitch but the textural effect is created by not turning the work but rather working in rounds. I love the diagonal effect created as a result.

You will be working rounds use stitch markers to allow you keep track of the rounds. Or wear it as you crochet to find your desired fit.

The string/yarn shows how to count rounds, if a stitch marker is not used. You will notice you have more rows on one side, than the other, that is where the rounds start and the previous round ends.
