The cream blocks baby blanket is made up of four blocks in shades of cream or brown, hahaha. I choose these four colours as they combine very well.
I also believe that it is a gender neutral combination making it great for when you don’t know the gender of the baby but would still like to gift the family.
I love making baby blankets, I think they are super easy, and make the perfect gift thoughtful gift for a new mom.
The texture created by the silt stitch is very unique! Made by single and double crochet stitches this stitch is also called the silt stitch.

This blanket is reversible! I have found that reversible patterns works best for blankets as both sides are presentable.

How to crochet the silt stitch
This crochet stitch works in multiples of 3 + 3
For this blanket ch 75
R1: dc in 4th ch, dc in each chain across. Turn
R2: ch 1, (this counts as sc), work 2 dc into 1st st. * skip the next two stitches, work (sc, 2dc) into the next st* repeat from * across, sk last 2 stitches, sc in 1st ch. Turn
R3: Ch 3 (counts as dc), sk next stitch, dc into each stitch across
Repeat R2 and R3 till blanket measures 36 inches.
To make each block work 14 rows in each colour. I started with Mocha, Camel , Lemon and Cream. You can customise it by choosing four colours of your choice.
Conclusion
This cream blocks baby blanket is easy to make, making it ideal for the beginner seeking to venture into relatively bigger project. Thanks to the repetitive nature of this pattern, it makes it very easy to learn and master the basic sc and dc stitches. The texture is simply gorgeous!!!
